Lagos — A 19-year-old, Egem-Odey Wukeh who studied Accountancy at Covenant University (CU), Ota, Ogun State has emerged as the best graduating student of the institution having scored a total of 4.89 CGPA.

Wukeh's feat was the high point of the university's 7th convocation ceremony. While speaking on behalf of other 1,371 graduating students, Wukeh said his feat has indeed humbled him and would continue to spur him to break new barriers. "Our CGPA and certificates are not the determinants of success but what we are able to discharge in our respective capacities. Our set have been rightly tagged; 'the eagles' and as we are released to the world, let's strive to fly beyond people's imagination," Wukeh said.

In her keynote address, Dr Oby Ezekwesili who is also the Vice President of World Bank (Africa) urged the graduands to see themselves as the transformational generation that will change the face of Nigerian society.
